About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced Senior MSSQL Database Administrator responsible for managing and supporting critical database systems. The role requires strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration, high availability solutions, performance tuning, and cloud database environments.
Key Responsibilities :
• Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server databases (2014/2016/2017/2019/2022)
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, backup & recovery
• Implement and manage High Availability & Disaster Recovery (AlwaysOn AG, Log Shipping, Mirroring, Replication, Failover Clustering)
• Conduct performance tuning and query optimization using indexing, execution plans, and database profiling
• Provide 24x7 production support and resolve P1/P2 incidents
• Perform root cause analysis and long-term fixes for recurring issues
• Implement security practices (access control, encryption, auditing, compliance)
• Create automation scripts using PowerShell, SQL Agent Jobs, and SSIS
• Implement database monitoring using tools like Datadog / NewRelic
• Work with Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS – IaaS & PaaS) and hybrid database solutions
• Provide capacity planning, trend analysis, and performance recommendations
Mandatory Skills :
✔ Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Administration
✔ Experience with SQL Server 2014/2016/2017/2019/2022
✔ Hands-on experience in Performance Tuning & Query Optimization
✔ Expertise in High Availability & Disaster Recovery solutions
✔ Experience with PowerShell scripting, SQL Agent Jobs, SSIS
✔ Knowledge of Database Security, Encryption, Auditing, Compliance
✔ Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and hybrid database environments
✔ Good knowledge of Windows OS and system commands
