Job Description:

We are looking for a highly experienced Model‑Based Design Engineer with strong expertise in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow to design, develop, and validate control system software for embedded applications. The role involves architecting robust models, implementing complex control logic, performing rigorous model‑based testing, and collaborating with cross‑functional global teams to ensure high‑quality delivery.

This position is ideal for engineers who have worked in automotive, HVAC, aerospace, or industrial control systems and are comfortable working in safety‑critical, standards‑driven environments.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Architectural Design: Translate complex high-level requirements into structured Simulink models using industry best practices (MAAB guidelines).
• Logic Development: Design and implement complex control logic using Stateflow & Simulink.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop custom MATLAB M-scripts and tools to automate modeling tasks, data analysis, and report generation.
• Verification & Validation: Lead Model-Based Testing (MBT) efforts, including Test Sequence creation and achieving 100% MC/DC coverage.
• International Representation: Act as a technical subject matter expert in international forums, presenting architectural decisions and representing the team’s technical progress.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware and software teams (Firmware & Testing) to ensure seamless model integration and deployment.

Expected skill set:

• Core Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
• Testing Frameworks: Proven experience with Simulink Test Manager and Simulink Coverage.
• Scripting: knowledge of M-scripting and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in MATLAB.
• Systems Knowledge: understanding of thermodynamics (HVAC) and physical system modeling (preferred).
• Coding & Hardware: experience with Embedded C, Python, and micro-controller hardware architectures.(preferred)

Soft Skills & Competencies:

• Technical Articulation: Ability to explain "the why" behind a technical solution clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Global Mindset: Experience working with international teams and the ability to navigate different communication styles.

Team Player: Proactive in peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior developers

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field.

7+ years of experience in Matlab modelling and embedded development.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
