Senior Mobile Developer
We are looking for a Senior Mobile Developer to lead the architecture and quality of our mobile application across iOS and Android. You will set the technical direction for mobile, ship complex features, mentor a small mobile team, and ensure our app meets a high bar for performance, reliability, and user experience.
Responsibilities
• Lead the technical direction of the mobile application, including architecture, tech stack, and release strategy.
• Design and implement complex mobile features end-to-end, working closely with backend and design.
• Establish and uphold standards for code quality, testing, performance, and crash-free reliability.
• Own the app release process: build pipelines, store submissions (App Store and Google Play), versioning, and phased rollouts.
• Mentor mid-level mobile developers through code review, pairing, and design discussions.
• Monitor production performance, crash reports, and user feedback; drive improvements proactively.
• Stay current with platform changes (iOS, Android, OS updates) and plan upgrades and deprecations.
Requirements
• 6+ years of professional mobile development experience with apps shipped to the App Store and/or Google Play.
• Deep expertise in at least one of: Swift/SwiftUI, Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, React Native, or Flutter — and working knowledge of the other platform.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns, offline support, state management, and background work.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD, code signing, and store submission processes.
• Solid grasp of mobile performance, memory management, and battery considerations.
• Familiarity with REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication flows, and push notifications.
• Strong communication skills and a track record of mentoring others.
Nice to Have
• Experience supporting both native (Swift/Kotlin) and cross-platform (React Native/Flutter) codebases.
• Experience with mobile observability tools (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, Bugsnag).
• Familiarity with deep linking, in-app purchases, or accessibility on mobile.
• Open-source contributions or conference talks in the mobile space.
