Job Title: Senior Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Engineer with 12+ years of experience to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and enterprise data engineering, with proven experience in large-scale cloud data platform implementations, real-time analytics, and migration projects from SAP BW to Microsoft Fabric. This is a hybrid role requiring immediate availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Power BI for enterprise-scale analytics.
- Implement Lakehouse architecture with Fabric Data Engineering (PySpark notebooks, Delta Tables) and Fabric Data Factory (Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2).
- Develop and optimize Fabric Warehouse schemas and T-SQL queries for high-performance data retrieval.
- Build real-time analytics solutions using KQL and integrate with Fabric Git deployment pipelines.
- Manage OneLake governance, metadata management, and enterprise data hubs.
- Lead the design and implementation of Power BI enterprise semantic models, DAX optimization, and performance tuning.
- Implement Power BI Premium / Fabric capacities, Direct Lake, Incremental Refresh, and Hybrid Tables.
- Apply best practices in data modeling (star schema, composite models) and enforce row-level and object-level security.
- Build Power BI deployment pipelines and governance frameworks across the enterprise.
- Lead data engineering and integration efforts, including ETL/ELT patterns, Spark, Delta Lake, and DataOps practices with CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud data platform architecture, medallion architecture, Lakehouse patterns, and microservice-aligned solutions.
- Integrate APIs/REST services and ensure highly available, decoupled solutions.
- Support SAP BW to Microsoft Fabric migration initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, and cloud-based solutions.
- Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Expert-Level Certification (DP-700, PL-300 preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Fabric Data Engineering, Fabric Data Factory, Fabric Warehouse, and related pipelines.
- Expertise in Power BI architecture, modeling, DAX optimization, and governance.
- Strong knowledge of Azure ecosystem: ADLS, Synapse, ADF, Azure SQL, Event Hub.
- Proven experience in DataOps, CI/CD, and Git-based deployment pipelines.
- Experience in SAP BW to Microsoft Fabric migration.
- Solid understanding of cloud data platform design, API integrations, and real-time analytics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design highly scalable and performant solutions.
- Strong communicator capable of collaborating across teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for data quality, governance, and best practices.
- Flexible and adaptable to rapidly evolving cloud technologies and business requirements.
