Job Description – Senior Merchandiser
Location: Tirupur, Tamil Nadu
Company: The Chennai Silks
Experience Required: Minimum 8 years in merchandising (preferably in the textile/garment industry)
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the complete merchandising cycle from development to shipment.
- Coordinate with buyers for product development, costing, sampling, and approvals.
- Manage order execution, production follow-up, and delivery timelines.
- Work closely with design, sampling, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Prepare costing sheets, T&A plans, and maintain order tracking reports.
- Monitor fabric, trims, accessories sourcing, and ensure timely approvals.
- Maintain strong buyer communication and handle meetings, updates, and clarifications.
- Ensure quality, compliance, and on-time delivery as per buyer standards.
- Identify risks, solve issues proactively, and support team members.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge in knits product categories.
- Excellent communication and buyer-handling skills.
- Strong in costing, T&A planning, and follow-up.
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple orders independently.
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Fashion Technology / Apparel Merchandising (preferred)
