Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Senior Medical Coder role for Radiology speciality based in Hyderabad. The Senior Medical Coder - Radiology will be responsible for reviewing radiology reports and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes in compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding standard. They will work to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, maintain patient record accuracy, and support the team in optimizing revenue cycle processes. Responsibilities also include staying updated on coding standards and assisting with audits to uphold coding quality and accuracy in completion of Radiology diagnostic and medical coding tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years of Coding Experience in Radiology with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Previous experience working with radiology reports and understanding various imaging modalities (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, etc)
- Familiarity with Medicals Terminology and a thorough understanding of Medical Coding practices and standards
- CPC Certified Professional Coder from AAPC
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of industry guidelines, regulations, and coding updates
- Additional training or certifications in advanced medical coding or specialties are a plus
- Proficiency in relevant coding systems and tools
