Main Purpose:
Carry out day-to-day corrosion monitoring and inspection of static equipment. Perform thickness monitoring, external and internal inspections, NDE, CUI assessments, hydrotesting, and corrosion evaluations of pressure vessels, columns, tanks, and piping as per SAP schedules and inspection findings. Conduct condition monitoring of rotary equipment using vibration analysis techniques for equipment installed at GGS and well sites, while supporting the Maintenance team in enhancing the reliability, availability, and integrity of plant assets.
Job Accountabilities:
• Provide technical leadership in Inspection and Corrosion Management for E&P assets.
• Conduct thickness inspections of static equipment, perform corrosion assessments, and prepare inspection reports.
• Prepare and update Corrosion Management Manuals and support the implementation of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs.
• Carry out degradation assessments for pressure equipment, heat exchangers, piping circuits, flares, above-ground storage tanks, and pressure relief devices through systematic NDE techniques in compliance with statutory requirements and RAGAGEP guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance to the Maintenance team by evaluating integrity threats, ensuring adherence to procedures, and supporting the execution of maintenance activities in line with company standards.
• Plan and execute Mechanical Integrity activities including Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI), Small Bore Connections (SBCs), dead-end inspections, and corrosion monitoring at pipe supports. Issue inspection reports, recommendations, progress reports, and track recommendations through closure.
• Ensure findings and recommendations arising from inspection activities are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Perform root cause analysis and failure investigations for equipment and systems, as required.
• Develop, update, and execute Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) plans for rotary equipment. Analyze vibration data and other PdM reports, provide recommendations, and maintain related records.
• Prepare and review annual budgets and support procurement of materials and services required for inspection, NDT, and condition monitoring activities within approved budgets.
• Plan and conduct Mechanical Integrity audits, including inspection, quality assurance, maintenance, and safety audits.
• Manage inspection and integrity data within systems such as Meridium, SAP, BIF, and other relevant platforms.
• Participate in the development and review of inspection and test plans for plant equipment.
• Monitor contractor performance on a day-to-day basis, including progress, manpower deployment, and equipment availability.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized university
• Certification and strong working knowledge of API 580, API 510, API 570, API 571, API 653, BSI/ISO/EN/AS standards, and AWS/CSWIP/ASNT NDT techniques
Experience Required:
• Minimum 6 years of experience in maintenance, inspection, corrosion management, or mechanical integrity functions within the upstream (E&P) Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
