Established in 1979, we design and manufacture customised engineering solutions for construction equipment, defence, mining, material handling, steel, power, automation, and renewable energy industries.
We are looking for a technically strong engineer who can bridge engineering, production, and customer requirements while helping us strengthen our manufacturing processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Engineering- Guide and support production engineers during manufacturing.
- Optimize CNC machining processes.
- Assist with machining strategy, tooling selection, work holding, and process planning.
- Reduce machining time and improve productivity.
- Coordinate with shop floor operators and supervisors.
CNC & Manufacturing- Strong understanding of CNC Turning, VTLs, VMCs, Drilling, Gear Hobbing, Gear Shaping, and conventional machining.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Prepare machining process sheets.
- Understand tolerances, GD&T, fits, and surface finishes.
Design & Engineering- Modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings when required.
- Coordinate with customers regarding technical clarifications.
- Maintain drawing revisions and engineering documentation.
Technical Sales Support- Study customer enquiries and RFQs.
- Prepare technical offers.
- Prepare cost estimations and manufacturing feasibility.
- Coordinate with purchase and production for quotations.
- Support defence and heavy engineering enquiries.
Quality & Documentation- Review Material Test Certificates (MTC/MTR).
- Understand heat treatment reports.
- Review hardness reports.
- Verify inspection reports.
- Maintain quality documentation.
- Coordinate with inspection agencies and customers.
Customer Coordination- Handle technical discussions with customers.
- Attend customer inspections.
- Resolve technical queries.
- Support project execution from enquiry to dispatch.
Desired Skills- Strong AutoCAD knowledge.
- Good understanding of CNC machining.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Understanding of bearings, gears, shafts, and heavy engineering components.
- Familiarity with material grades such as 42CrMo4, 50Mn, EN8, EN19, EN24, etc.
- Knowledge of heat treatment processes.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good documentation skills.
Preferred Experience- 5–12 years of experience in heavy engineering or precision manufacturing.
- Experience in slewing bearings, gear manufacturing, machine tools, heavy fabrication, defence, mining, or capital equipment industries will be preferred.
- Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Software- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Excel
- ERP software (preferred)
- Basic understanding of SolidWorks or Inventor is an advantage.
