Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of mechanical design for complex hardware products. This role requires strong engineering judgment, manufacturing exposure, and the ability to drive products from concept to mass production.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in mechanical engineering or PhD
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and/or CATIA
- Hands-on experience in tooling and manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS / SolidWorks Simulation)
- Strong understanding of materials and GD&T
Key Responsibilities
• Own mechanical architecture, design, and validation of hardware products
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, GD&T, and BOMs using SolidWorks and/or CATIA
• Lead tool design and development including vendor coordination
• Perform and interpret FEA simulations (structural, thermal, vibration)
• Drive DFM, DFA, tolerance stack-ups, and DFMEA
• Support prototyping, pilot builds, and mass production
• Collaborate with electronics, quality, and manufacturing teams
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards
