🚀 We’re Hiring: Mechanical Design Engineer (7–10 Years)
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Pune (Onsite).
This role is ideal for professionals who have strong expertise in mechanical product design, electro-mechanical systems, and industrial equipment development, especially in fire safety or similar domains.

Role OverviewYou will be responsible for end-to-end mechanical design and development — from concept, prototyping, and validation to production release. The role involves working on mechanical housings, plumbing systems, and electro-mechanical assemblies, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs.

Key Responsibilities🔹 Mechanical Design & Development
- Design and develop mechanical housings, plumbing assemblies, and electro-mechanical products
- Own product lifecycle: concept → design → prototyping → validation → production
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, ECOs
🔹 Component Design & Engineering
- Develop parts using SolidWorks with GD&T and manufacturing-ready drawings
- Work on sheet metal, plastics (injection molding), die-casting, machining & stamping
- Perform tolerance stack-up, thermal, stress & vibration analysis
🔹 Tooling & Manufacturing
- Lead tool/mold/die/fixture design & development
- Drive DFM/DFA and cost optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for manufacturability
🔹 Electro-Mechanical Integration
- Design plumbing layouts, mounting structures, cable routing & enclosure packaging
- Support basic electrical integration and serviceability
🔹 Prototyping, Testing & Support
- Support prototype builds (3D printing, CNC, shop tools)
- Plan and execute validation testing (environmental, vibration, fit checks)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues from prototype to production

Required Skills & Experience- 7–10 years in mechanical design & product development
- Strong expertise in SolidWorks (3D, 2D, PDM)
- Experience in sheet metal, plastics, die-cast, machined & stamped components
- Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-up, materials & manufacturing
- Hands-on experience in prototyping, testing & manufacturing support
- Understanding of electro-mechanical systems & plumbing design
- Good collaboration & problem-solving skills

Good to Have- Experience in fire safety / industrial equipment domain
- Knowledge of Creo, AutoCAD/DraftSight, Autodesk Revit (BIM)
- Exposure to tooling development & regulatory compliance
- Experience with ERP/PLM systems (DocuWare, Epicor)
