Role Summary
We need a Senior Systems Engineer to own the MBSE architecture for embedded control systems and drive verification strategy across the V&V lifecycle — bridging system-level modeling, model-based design, and embedded software validation for construction equipment platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Own system architecture modeling in SysML (functional, logical, physical views) for machine control systems
- Define verification & validation strategy across MIL/SIL/PIL/HIL stages, aligned to system requirements
- Lead requirement decomposition from system-level to software/embedded component level, ensuring bidirectional traceability
- Review MBD models (Simulink) for design correctness before code generation; drive model coverage and MISRA/Simulink guideline compliance
- Define test strategy for integration and system-level validation on physical machines/test rigs
- Interface with cross-functional teams (mechanical, hydraulics, controls, software) to validate system-of-systems behavior
- Mentor junior V&V/MBD engineers; establish V&V process improvements and metrics (defect density, coverage, escape rate)
- Support pre-sales/technical consulting engagement with OEM clients on MBSE/V&V maturity assessments
Required Skills
- 8+ years in embedded systems engineering, with strong MBD (Simulink/Stateflow) and MBSE (SysML) hands-on experience
- Deep understanding of V&V methodology, test architecture, and traceability across ALM tools
- Strong grasp of automotive/off-highway functional safety standards (ISO 26262, ISO 25119, or IEC 61508)
- CAN/J1939/ISOBUS protocol knowledge for off-highway machine communication
- Experience with model coverage tools (Simulink Design Verifier, Reactis, or equivalent)
- Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership skills
Nice to Have
- CSPO/SAFe certification, Agile/hybrid delivery experience
- Experience leading transition-in/outsourced engineering scope
- Prior client-facing technical consulting experience in off-highway/automotive domain
