Role Overview
As a Senior MarkLogic Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade data platforms. You will contribute to architecture decisions, guide teams, and drive best practices across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable solutions aligned with the platform vision
- Design and develop APIs and data services using MarkLogic Server
- Lead technical discussions, contribute to architecture boards, and mentor teams
- Design and implement data pipelines using MarkLogic Data Hub Framework (DHF)
- Work on data modeling, ingestion, harmonization, and curation flows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Evaluate new technologies and continuously improve engineering practices
- Represent the organization in client discussions and technical forums
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with MarkLogic Server
- Hands-on experience with MarkLogic Data Hub Framework (DHF) including:
- Flow design (ingestion, mapping, mastering)
- Entity services and harmonization
- Data modeling and pipeline orchestration
- Proficiency in XQuery / Server-Side JavaScript / XSLT
- Experience in indexing, performance tuning, and search optimization
- Strong experience with REST APIs design and development
- Good understanding of Semantic Technologies (RDF, RDFS, SPARQL, Knowledge Graphs)
- Exposure to MLCP, CoRB, Flux
- Experience with large-scale system design and cross-team integration
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred / Good to Have
- Experience with vector search, RAG, or AI-driven pipelines
- Experience in Java and/or Python.
- MarkLogic certification.
- Open-source contributions
