Job Description
The Senior Manager Marketing will work closely with the sales, product, and content teams to develop and implement effective marketing strategies that align with Apposite’s business goals and brand identity. The ideal candidate will also oversee the marketing budget, track and analyse the performance of marketing activities, and report on the results.
Key Responsibilities
Brand positioning tasks (40%):
- Define and communicate our unique value proposition and brand identity to our target market,
- Conduct customer segmentation and persona development to understand the needs, preferences, and motivations of our potential and existing customers,
- Develop and execute brand positioning strategies and campaigns across multiple channels, such as website, social media, email, and events,
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our brand positioning efforts and adjust accordingly,
- Stay updated on the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in the learning and development industry and the competitive landscape.
Marketing for Inbound lead generation (40%):
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to generate in bound sales leads for North America, Europe and other targeted geos.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth.
- Manage and optimize the marketing budget and allocate resources across different marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns, including email, social media, webinars, events, SEO, SEM.
- Create and manage marketing collateral, such as brochures, flyers, newsletters, case studies, testimonials, and videos.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of marketing activities and campaigns, using various tools and metrics.
- Generate and analyse marketing reports and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as sales, product, content, design, and vendors, to ensure brand consistency and alignment.
Management reporting (20%):
- Provide reports, dashboards, and analysis of sales targets and conversions on a periodical basis.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience as Senior Manager - Marketing or a similar role, in the learning and development industry
- Proven experience in generating inbound sales via various marketing channels (email, social media, websites, etc.)
- Proven experience in creating and executing marketing campaigns for US and Europe regions.
- Knowledge and experience in marketing techniques and tools, such as CRM, email marketing, social media marketing, SEO, SEM, and analytics
- Experience in setting up, managing, monitoring targets for the marketing teams to help generate inbound sales and optimize marketing budgets and resources
- Experience in managing teams that create marketing collateral and social media content
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills
- Experience in performance marketing via various social media platforms
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Creative, innovative, and customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
