About the Role
We are a fast-growing accounting and advisory firm supporting a diverse portfolio of US-based clients. As a Senior Manager, you will operate as a senior leader within our delivery organization — overseeing multiple Managers and their teams, owning / managing complex client relationships at the highest level, and setting the processes and standards that define how we operate at scale. This is a role for someone who has been there, done that, and is now ready to multiply their impact through others. You'll be equally comfortable in the weeds of a client escalation and in the room shaping how the firm grows.
What You'll Do
Team & Manager Oversight
- Oversee and develop a group of Managers, providing strategic guidance, performance feedback, and day-to-day support to help them lead their teams effectively
- Act as the senior escalation point for Managers on complex technical, operational, and client issues
- Identify skill gaps across teams and drive initiatives to uplevel capabilities firm-wide
- Foster a culture of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and continuous improvement across all levels
Client Strategy & Escalations
- Serve as the senior-most relationship owner for client engagements, stepping in to navigate escalations, strategic conversations, and critical deliverables
- Support Managers in managing their own client portfolios — providing guidance, reviewing outputs, and ensuring consistent quality across engagements
- Roll up your sleeves and support execution directly when the situation demands it; no task is beneath this role
- Bring sound judgment to real-world complexity — ambiguous situations, competing priorities, and high-stakes client moments
Firm-Wide Process & Standards
- Take ownership of defining, documenting, and continuously refining the operational standards and workflows that govern how the delivery team functions
- Establish quality control frameworks that scale as headcount and client volume grow
- Partner with leadership on capacity planning, service line development, and strategic initiatives
- Play an active role in onboarding and integrating new clients at a senior level
What We're Looking For
- 9+ years of hands-on experience in US accounting — you have the depth to advise, the breadth to lead, and the judgment to navigate complexity
- CPA, CA, or CMA is required
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing Managers — you know how to get the best out of people who are themselves leading teams
- A track record of owning senior client relationships, handling high-stakes escalations with composure and confidence
- Exceptional written and spoken English — you communicate with clarity, authority, and empathy across all levels, and are able to directly coordinate with US clients
- A process-builder at heart — you don't just identify what's broken, you build the system that fixes it for good
- Comfortable working the 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM IST shift
- Ability to oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously while supporting Managers without losing sight of the details
- Long-term orientation — you're looking for a place to plant your flag and grow into a Director and beyond
- Strong Expertise in accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar; deep familiarity with US GAAP and multi-client environments
- Strong Expertise in Microsft Excel
