What You’ll Be Doing (position summary):
As Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition (Technology) for CIBC India, you'll lead the strategy to attract, engage, and hire top technology talent in a highly competitive market. You'll guide a team focused on technology infrastructure hiring, strengthening sourcing capabilities, passive candidate pipelines, and recruitment outcomes for senior and hard-to-fill roles. Working closely with Talent Acquisition leaders and business partners, you'll shape consistent recruitment practices, elevate our employer brand, and improve hiring performance across India. You'll use market insight, data, and recruitment technology to influence strategy, improve processes, and deliver an inclusive, high-quality candidate experience. You'll also help build a strong team culture that reflects CIBC's values of trust, teamwork, and accountability.

Who you are:
Experience: 10+ years of experience:
- Lead and develop - Coach and mentor a high-performing talent acquisition team to anticipate hiring needs, deliver strong results, and support change with clarity and consistency. Lead by example in recruiting for senior-level and niche technology roles.
- Drive talent strategy - Build strategic recruitment plans, proactive pipelines, and talent mapping approaches for critical technology roles. Set clear priorities and performance measures to improve quality of hire, hiring diversity, and candidate satisfaction.
- Use market insight - Stay current on technology labour market trends, competitor activity, and emerging hiring practices in India. Translate insights into practical strategies that help the business attract top talent.
- Optimize recruitment processes - Identify opportunities to simplify and automate recruitment activity, improve interview and assessment practices, and strengthen fairness, consistency, and efficiency across the hiring process. Coach your team to adopt and champion for change ensuring that Talent Acquisition understands the why behind the improvement and the impact on daily activities, and also how it aligns to CIBC’s strategic goals and values
- Partner across the business - Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, including Talent Acquisition teams, HR teams, hiring leaders, and candidates. Provide reporting, guidance, and responsive support on recruitment programs, policies, and processes.
- Deliver reporting and insights - Create regular reporting for Talent Acquisition leaders and business stakeholders on hiring progress, market conditions, forecasting, and risks. Turn recruitment data into clear insights that support workforce planning and business decision-making.
- Deliver end-to-end hiring excellence - Oversee senior-level recruitment activity, maintain active candidate pipelines, and manage key stages of the hiring process in Workday, including postings, resume sharing, offers, and background screening.
- You demonstrate experience in people leadership and mentorship within technology talent acquisition, preferably in India’s banking, fintech, or technology sectors managing complex, niche roles.
- You have deep technology hiring expertise, with a strong focus on technology recruitment and complex, niche roles, ideally within banking, financial technology, or the broader technology sector.
- You know the market. You have a strong understanding of India's talent landscape, current hiring trends, and recruitment tools and technologies, and you use that knowledge to shape effective hiring strategies.
- You're analytical and solutions focused. You can interpret hiring data, identify opportunities for improvement, and turn insights into practical actions that strengthen recruitment outcomes.
- You're a strong communicator. You bring excellent communication, problem-solving, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):
Must Have Skills:
- Masters in HR or an equivalent degree
- 10+ years of Talent Acquisition experience, preferably in Technology Hiring.
- Experience in recognizing opportunities for efficiency and process improvements.
- Excellent analytical ability, communication, problem-solving skills.
- Data Management- Reporting & dashboarding.
