Job details:
Company Description Paperclip & Co is a social media agency that serves as a one-stop partner for brands looking to establish a strong digital presence. The team specializes in experiential marketing, helping clients connect with potential customers and build a distinct brand identity across relevant social platforms. With a young, trend-aware team, the agency focuses on raw, authentic, and creative content that reflects each brand’s voice. Paperclip & Co is passionate about the brands it works with and is dedicated to helping clients elevate their social media strategy and impact.
This is not a management role in the traditional sense. This is the person who understands the business as well as the founder does — and acts accordingly.
As Senior Manager — Strategy & Operations, you will be the operational and strategic backbone of Paperclip & Co. You will lead business development, oversee all content and creative output, manage client relationships, and ensure the agency runs smoothly on every level — from approving team leaves to signing off on work before it goes to a client.
You will work directly with the founder and will have full visibility across all agency functions — accounts, finance, people, and creative. The right person for this role is someone who has done serious work in a marketing agency or brand environment, understands what excellent looks like, and is ready to take real ownership.
What you'll own:
- Business Development
- Lead all new business conversations from first contact to signed contract
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities across target categories
- Develop pitch decks, proposals, and capability presentations
- Represent Paperclip & Co at industry events and networking forums
- Track and report on BD metrics — leads, conversion rates, revenue pipeline
2. Content Approvals
- Review and approve all client-facing content before delivert
- Maintain quality standards across all accounts and formats
- Provide strategic direction on content pillars, campaigns, and creative briefs
- Identify gaps in content quality and initiate improvement processes
- Collaborate with the creative team on campaign ideation and execution
- Ensure all work is on-brief, on-brand, and on-time
3. Client Servicing
- Serve as the senior point of contact for key client accounts
- Build and deepen relationships with client stakeholders at all levels
- Lead client presentations, reviews, and strategy sessions
- Proactively identify opportunities to grow existing accounts
- Handle escalations with confidence and resolve issues decisively
- Ensure client satisfaction and retention across the portfolio
4. Operations & Team
- Oversee day-to-day agency operations and ensure smooth functioning
- Manage team schedules, workload allocation, and leave approvals
- Liaise with the finance function on invoicing, collections, and budgets
- Build and maintain internal processes, SOPs, and workflow systems
- Support hiring decisions and onboarding of new team members
- Report directly to the founder on agency health and performance
