Are you ready to shape the future of Prime membership for millions of customers worldwide? As a Senior Manager, Software Development on the Benefits, Pricing & Constructs team, you'll lead engineering teams that create Earth's most engaging membership program. You'll drive technical innovation across Amazon's ecosystem, partnering with organizations like Prime Video, Amazon Music, and Digital Acceleration to build Prime benefits and family sharing experiences.
This role combines technical leadership with strategic vision as you guide multiple engineering teams to deliver mission-critical goals that directly impact Prime's value proposition. You'll collaborate across the company to influence technical roadmaps and build product solutions that delight millions of Prime members while driving profitable growth for Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
Define and execute technical roadmap and vision for multiple engineering teams delivering Prime benefits and construct innovations
Lead cross-organizational collaboration with benefit providers, country leads, and foundational systems to devise technical strategy and influence company-wide roadmaps
Develop strategic goals for your organization that address the needs of large customer bases where problems may not yet be defined, establishing long-term engineering team structures
Drive technical excellence by establishing audit mechanisms for customer experience, quality, and operational performance while removing bottlenecks to enable independent team work
Partner with technical leaders across organizational boundaries to plan long-term viability of software architecture from both business and technology standpoints

You'll start by reviewing technical roadmaps with your engineering teams, ensuring alignment with Prime's strategic vision while addressing complex technical challenges that impact millions of members. Your day includes collaborating with partners across Amazon—from Prime Video to Digital Acceleration—to influence technical strategies that will shape the future of Prime benefits. You'll guide multiple teams through ambiguous problem spaces, making critical decisions about resource allocation and technical direction while maintaining focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The Benefits, Pricing & Constructs team is central to Amazon Prime's north star vision of creating Earth's most engaging, satisfying, and loved membership program. We drive profitable growth through four key levers: increasing potential value through new benefits, making members aware and excited about Prime's value, innovating new Prime constructs to reach new segments, and growing Amazon's long-term free cash flow through strategic benefit partnerships and pricing decisions.

Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams
- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications
