What You’ll Do
Responsible for managing business development in one or more countries, regions, or industries. Serves as the relationship manager for multiple complex partner relationships. Performs market analyses and business-development activities to drive profitable sales volume. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
The position will take a leadership role in managing one of the large partnerships in the Indian Sub-continent and take accountability for implementation of business development strategy in an effort to grow the total volume, market share and achieve revenue targets by managing the key relationships.
The position will be responsible for monitoring Account performance and recommending measures to accelerate growth in respective markets, working with Capital One’s internal stakeholders, Partners and vendors.
The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of payments business, technology and operations and the Indian sub-continent payments landscape.
What we’re looking for
- Manages new and existing partnerships to develop opportunities for growth and profitability.
- Partners internally and externally to identify, develop, and implement new business opportunities.
- Drives transaction volume and experience of existing partners in order to drive profitable growth.
- Builds strong relationship to grow DGN Volume, revenue & market share
- Identifies and create pipeline of new business opportunities across Indian sub-continent
- Grows acceptance as per DGN objectives
- Manages / Supports Product development & Risk initiatives for DGN in the market
- Creates new processes to support business development activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders including Legal, Risk, Product, Pricing, Operations, etc.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing or In lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of experience in Payments, Relationship Management, or Marketing
- At least 8 years of experience in Payments, Relationship Management, or Marketing
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing
- 15+ years of proven sales / product experience / account management experience in payments / banking & financial services
- Business knowledge of International Card Schemes; Issuing, Acquiring and Pricing. Card Scheme operational and policy knowledge would be helpful.
- Demonstrate proven ability to develop and successfully implement, quantifiable business plans
- Must demonstrate strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Industry knowledge and networking especially in account relationships/ acquirers and merchants
- Have an entrepreneurial approach and able to prioritize and manage parallel projects and issues
- Excellent communication skills from a written, verbal and presentation perspective
- Demonstrate multi-disciplinary knowledge, i.e. product, operations, acquiring and emerging technologies
- Client focused approach with the ability to interact across all management levels
