Role Description The Senior Manager – Quality (Non-Food) will lead quality assurance and quality control activities for non-food product categories, ensuring products meet regulatory standards and internal specifications. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, working closely with manufacturing units, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in product quality and reliability. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing quality frameworks, establishing inspection and testing procedures, monitoring quality metrics and KPIs, and managing audits and compliance documentation. The role will oversee root cause analysis for defects, coordinate corrective and preventive actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in production, procurement, and logistics to resolve quality issues. The Senior Manager will also mentor quality teams, contribute to technology and process upgrades, and support senior leadership with data-driven insights for strategic decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in quality management, including quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, lean principles).
- Experience with non-food manufacturing environments, product testing, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in data analysis, use of quality metrics, root cause analysis tools, and reporting for decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, manage cross-functional projects, and collaborate effectively with production, procurement, and supply chain stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Quality Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certifications in quality (such as CQE, Six Sigma) are an advantage.
- Proven experience in a senior quality role within manufacturing or consumer products, preferably in large-scale, multi-site operations.
- Willingness to work on-site in Mumbai
