Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Senior Manager for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and Corporate Groups will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate group travel and events. Responsibilities include developing customized MICE and corporate group travel packages, maintaining client relationships, managing budgets, negotiating with service providers, and ensuring the seamless execution of events. The Senior Manager will also identify and manage new business opportunities, ensure compliance with industry standards, and provide personalized customer service.
Qualifications
- Event management, itinerary planning, and project management for MICE and corporate groups
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and budgeting skills
- Client relationship management and effective client communication
- Familiarity with travel and tourism regulations, as well as destination knowledge in regions such as Sikkim, Bhutan, the Northeast, and Andaman
- Creativity, problem-solving, and the ability to execute complex projects under tight deadlines
- Proficiency with computer tools, including Microsoft Office and travel management software
- Experience in team leadership and cross-functional collaboration
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in the MICE and tourism industry
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field
