About The Role
Haleon is seeking a highly motivated, structured, and solutions‑oriented professional to lead legal operations transformation across the Group Legal team. This role will be instrumental in designing and implementing a harmonized Legal operating model, driving standardisation, simplification, and coordinated ways of working across our Legal function. A key focus will be defining and embedding legal playbooks, standard positions, common processes, templates, governance frameworks and operating mechanisms that enable consistency, efficiency, and better partnership with the business.
Situated within the HUB (Group Legal Shared Services Center), you will act as a central transformation lead, supporting complex cross‑functional programs that span markets, categories, and legal subject-matter areas. You will partner closely with lawyers across Group Legal and collaborate with stakeholders across the business (e.g., Regulatory, Compliance, Finance, Supply, Marketing) to identify fragmentation, define solutions, and drive adoption of new ways of working.
You will help build structure where ambiguity exists and ensure the Group Legal team has robust and scalable frameworks to operate as One Legal.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong program management capabilities, with experience in operations, transformation, and process optimisation, and thrives in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment and is passionate about building harmonised legal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation, maintenance, and roll‑out of Legal playbooks, including standardized guidance, templates, escalation pathways, and workflows.
- Establish, embed, and evolve consistent ways of working across the Group Legal team to reduce fragmentation and improve efficiency and alignment.
- Lead and drive cross‑functional initiatives involving multiple markets, categories, and enabling functions, ensuring alignment to a unified operating model and delivery of measurable business outcomes.
- Partner with the Legal Shared Service and other Group Legal teams to accelerate and streamline the deployment of new ways of working.
- Own and drive transformation workstreams that require structured project management, including regulatory projects, compliance processes, risk mitigation initiatives, and internal governance deliverables.
- Diagnose structural inefficiencies and misalignments between teams, processes, and tools; propose solutions and drive implementation.
- Develop mechanisms for capturing, tracking, and reporting progress on Legal priorities and project workplans.
- Facilitate information flow across teams by creating and disseminating clear project documentation, dashboards, and communication materials.
- Drive the adoption and effective use of Legal technology and knowledge‑management tools to enable efficiency, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Champion simplification, continuous improvement, and harmonization across the Legal organization.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in any discipline; advanced degree or certification in business, or operations is an advantage.
- 10+ years of experience in business transformation, program management, operations, process optimization or a similar role in a multinational environment with demonstrated experience in driving cross-functional change initiatives.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to distil complex requirements into clear, actionable workplans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to operate independently with limited guidance.
- Strong judgment and the ability to anticipate risks, identify blockers, and proactively drive corrective actions.
- Proven ability to work effectively across functions, cultures, and geographies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in or closely with a Legal department, legal operations team, or compliance/regulatory function with exposure to legal service delivery models and process standardisation.
- Knowledge of legal processes, compliance frameworks, and regulatory interactions in multi‑market environments.
- Formal training or certification in Project management, process improvement, or transformation methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMP, Agile/Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Experience in a global corporate environment, ideally in FMCG, pharma, or consumer healthcare.
- Strong organisational skills, with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Experience creating and maintaining project documentation, dashboards, and stakeholder updates.
- Additional European languages (e.g., Spanish, Italian, French, German) are an advantage.
- Experience driving operating model design, process standardisation, or large-scale transformation initiatives is highly preferred
