Senior Manager / General Manager – Capital Equipment Sales (Paper Industry)

About the Role
Link Engineers (P) Limited represents some of the world's leading manufacturers of complete paper machines and finishing house equipment. With over 60 years of presence in India's paper and power sectors, we are now looking for a sharp, experienced sales leader to head our capital equipment vertical and strengthen our position in the Indian market.
This role calls for someone who understands the paper manufacturing process deeply, thinks strategically, and can manage high-value, long-cycle technical sales with confidence.
What You Will Do
You will be the primary face of our international principals in India, responsible for driving growth across the paper industry vertical. This includes identifying large-scale project opportunities, managing technical sales cycles from first conversation to contract closure, and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers at major paper mills across the country.
On the partner side, you will work closely with our foreign manufacturers to align their global sales strategies with Indian market realities, ensuring seamless communication across geographies and time zones.
You will also lead market intelligence efforts, including sales forecasting, competitive mapping, and opportunity pipeline development, to consistently grow the market share of the brands we represent.
Who We Are Looking For
Someone with 10 to 15 or more years of experience in capital equipment sales, specifically within the paper or heavy engineering sectors. You should have a solid understanding of paper machines and finishing house equipment, and a proven track record of closing high-value contracts with long lead times.
Beyond technical knowledge, we are looking for someone who builds relationships at the C-suite and technical director level with ease, communicates effectively across cultures, and brings a level of professional maturity that reflects well on the global brands we represent.
