Company Description
BJS is looking for a committed and detail-oriented professionals to join its fundraising team as Senior Manager – Fundraising. This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting day-to-day fundraising operations, including prospect research, proposal and pitch presentation development, donor engagement and coordination, and reporting. They will play a key role in ensuring that fundraising efforts are well organized, timely, and aligned with the organizations’ goals. These positions are ideal for candidates with strong writing skills, donor servicing experience, and a passion for working in the social impact space.
Key Responsibilities:
(a) Prospect Research & Pipeline Management:
- Conduct secondary background research on potential donors including corporates, CSR funds, foundations, HNIs, bilateral and multilateral donors, philanthropic initiatives etc.
- Develop thematic area-wise and donor category-wise separate calendars indicating proposal timelines to ensure effective and timely donor outreach.
- Maintain a donor prospect pipeline and track outreach efforts through internal coordination
(b) Proposal & Collateral Development:
- Develop/Support development of concept notes, proposals, and pitch presentations tailored to different programmes and donor interests.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary data, stories, and budgets for proposals.
- Ensure that all fundraising collaterals and materials stay updated, and are aligned with BJS/SMF branding, and ready for use
(c) Donor Coordination & Engagement:
- Assist in scheduling and preparing for donor engagements/meetings, including briefing documents, collaterals, and follow-up actions.
- Maintain donor databases, donor communication records, and ensure submission of timely reports and acknowledgments to donors.
- Support in planning and execution of donor engagements, due diligence processes, events, site visits, and campaigns
(d) Reporting & Documentation:
- Coordinate with the programme, M&E, and finance teams to collect data and other inputs for donor reports
- Assist in the preparation of donor updates, progress reports, and success stories in clear and compelling formats
- Ensure compliance with reporting timelines and documentation protocols
(e) Team Support & Coordination:
- Provide administrative and operational support to the fundraising team.
- Collaborate with the programme and media communication teams for content and impact narratives.
- Maintain shared folders, trackers, and data dashboards related to the fundraising activities carried out by the team
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Business Management, Communications, Social Work, or related fields.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in fundraising, donor relations, proposal writing, and development communication.
- Strong writing and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and online research tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.
- Passion for the development sector and willingness to learn and grow
- Compensation Structure: The CTC will be structured as 80% Fixed Compensation and 20% Performance-Linked Variable Compensation, based on achievement of agreed fundraising targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
