About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Employee Relations (ER) leader to drive a fair, compliant, and high-trust workplace environment.
In this role, you will lead the Employee Relations function end-to-end, shaping HR policies, managing complex workplace issues, and partnering with leadership to strengthen organizational practices.
This is a strategic + hands-on role requiring strong expertise in employee relations, labor laws, investigations, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Governance
- Lead the Employee Relations function, defining frameworks, policies, and governance mechanisms
- Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant implementation of ER practices across the organization
Policy Development & Compliance
- Design, review, and implement HR policies (Code of Conduct, Grievance Handling, PIP, Disciplinary processes, Health & Safety)
- Ensure alignment with labor laws and regulatory requirements
- Drive policy awareness and adherence across teams
Employee Relations Case Management
- Manage complex ER cases including grievances, misconduct, workplace conflicts, and disciplinary actions
- Lead or oversee investigations, ensuring fair, unbiased, and timely resolution
- Maintain documentation and compliance standards for all cases
Manager Enablement
- Coach and guide managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and employee conduct
- Build frameworks and toolkits to improve manager capability in handling team issues
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Leadership, HR, Employee Experience, and Legal teams
- Act as a trusted advisor on sensitive employee relations matters
Risk Mitigation
- Identify and proactively manage employee relations risks
- Implement practices to minimize legal exposure and organizational risk
- Analyze ER trends and recommend preventive interventions
Training & Awareness
- Drive programs on workplace ethics, compliance, and policies
- Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and transparency
Must-Have Requirements
- 10+ years of HR experience, with strong focus on Employee Relations
- Proven expertise in end-to-end ER case management (grievances, misconduct, disciplinary actions, investigations, POSH scenarios)
- Strong experience in HR policy design, governance, and implementation
- In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws, compliance frameworks, and risk mitigation
- Experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong experience in conducting investigations and ensuring fair resolutions
- Background in large, structured organizations (500+ employees)
- Excellent communication, judgment, and conflict resolution skills
Good to Have
- MBA / Master’s in HR or related field
- Experience working with distributed / global teams
- Exposure to organizational transformation or HR modernization initiatives
