Pioneer Aluminium Refinery is looking for a person who is having deep understanding of technical aspects of an Alumina refinery including process control and optimization
Responsibilities
· Preparation & circulation of daily consumption & efficiency calculations to guide the operations team on deviations and root cause
· Supporting operations team with process data and calculations and deviation reason/analysis with required root cause analysis
· Coordination with other departments for stock reconciliation and external audits
· Giving training to the new joiners in the department as "Internal Trainer" for subject matter in Alumina Refinery
· Conducting monthly inventory and making necessary corrections accordingly
· Managing departmental administration like preparing man power requirements, organizational charts preparation, conducting interviews, selecting profiles for vacant positions, etc.
· Proficiency in SAP systems, Microsoft Office, and data analytics tools.
· Thorough understanding of Simulations and modelling with a preference of hand on experience in process simulation
· Core technical understanding of alumina refining process (Bayer chemistry) and unit operations & processes
· Experience in Process Engineering & control
· Understanding of quality control (QA/QC) and experience in ISO systems
· Understanding of safety systems – HAZOP and HAZID etc.
· Deep understanding of DCS (distributed control system) of an Alumina refinery
· Problem solving & troubleshooting skills with proven capability
· Experience working alongside maintenance, engineering, and operation teams to ensure smooth process flow
· Excellent communication to effectively report technical data, document processes (SOPs) and overall Management Information systems (MIS)
Proven experience of leadership and handling/collaborating in a semi large team of ~ 30-40 direct reportees
Qualifications: BE/B Tech in Chemical Engineering from a reputed engineering college (Essential);
M Tech in Chemical Engineering (Desirable)
Experience: Between 10-15 years (Technical function in an Alumina refinery)
