Role Purpose
The Senior Manager – Accounts will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate closing of books, compliance with Ind AS, statutory requirements, and effective utilization of SAP S/4HANA. The role requires strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Closing
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts closing processes within defined timelines.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the books of accounts.
- Oversee GL scrutiny, journal entries, provisions, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Review trial balance, schedules, and financial statements prior to finalization.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and review financial statements, notes, disclosures, and audit schedules as per Ind AS.
SAP & Systems
- Lead accounting operations in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring accurate transaction processing and reporting.
- Support system controls, chart of accounts structuring, and master data governance.
- Act as a key user for SAP enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvements.
- Ensure effective integration between SAP modules impacting finance (FI, CO, MM, SD, Asset Accounting).
Financial Controls & Governance
- Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure compliance with SOPs and policies.
- Monitor balance sheet items, resolves long-outstanding issues, and ensures clean audits.
- Support risk management and compliance frameworks.
Reporting & Management Support
- Prepare MIS reports for management review and decision-making.
- Provide accounting inputs for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support finance leadership in special projects, due diligence, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA (Chartered Accountant)/ CMA/ CA (Inter)
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Accounts closing
- Books of accounts management
- Ind AS implementation and reporting
- SAP S/4HANA / SAP FI
