Job details:
Arbour Alternate Advisors Private Limited is a Mumbai-based investment management firm focused on structured real estate credit and high-yield debt strategies, operating in the alternative investments space. We manage institutional-grade investment opportunities delivering superior risk-adjusted returns for a curated base of direct investors spanning HNIs, UHNIs, Single and Multi-Family Offices, and institutional investors.
We are seeking a senior investor relations professional to own Arbour’s direct investor relationship management function — the custodian of Arbour’s most valuable asset. The role demands the communication discipline of a seasoned IR professional, the relationship depth of a private banker, and the commercial acuity to convert strong relationships into incremental AUM growth. It offers direct access to the Founding team, high visibility across the investor base, and meaningful influence over investor retention and re-investment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
A. Direct Investor Relationship Management
• Primary relationship manager for all HNI, UHNI, and Family Office investors — owning the full post-commitment lifecycle: onboarding, servicing, query resolution, and long-term retention.
• Build deep, trust-based relationships with investor principals, Family Office investment committees, and their trusted advisors.
• Act as internal champion for investor needs — ensuring Operations, Compliance, and Investment teams deliver a consistently high-quality investor experience.
• Maintain comprehensive investor records, interaction history, and relationship intelligence for proactive, personalised engagement.
B. Investor Communication & Reporting
• Ensure timely, accurate dissemination of all investor communications — fund performance reports, NAV updates, capital call notices, distribution statements, and regulatory disclosures.
• Develop and manage a structured investor communication calendar — quarterly reports, AGMs, market outlook pieces, and ad hoc updates.
• Craft personalised investor materials including performance summaries, portfolio commentary, and re-investment proposals with the investment team.
• Facilitate investor meetings, portfolio review discussions, AGMs, and bespoke investor briefings.
C. Investor Servicing & Query Management
• First point of contact for all investor queries, documentation needs, and escalations — ensuring swift, relationship-preserving resolution.
• Coordinate with Operations, Finance, and Compliance for KYC updates, subscription processing, and regulatory filings.
• Manage capital call coordination, distribution processing, and investor statement reconciliation.
• Proactively identify and resolve investor concerns before escalation — zero-gap service standard.
D. Investor Retention & Re-investment
• Design and execute investor retention strategies to deepen loyalty, extend tenures, and drive re-investment at maturity.
• Identify re-investment, incremental capital, and referral opportunities; work with the Direct Sales team to convert into AUM growth.
• Build and maintain a re-investment pipeline tracking maturity dates, conversations, and incremental capital opportunities.
• Use investor feedback and satisfaction data to continuously improve engagement and communication quality.
E. Market Intelligence & Strategic Contribution
• Stay current with alternative investment developments, regulatory changes, and evolving HNI, UHNI, and Family Office preferences.
• Provide structured investor sentiment and market intelligence to investment and product teams.
• Represent Arbour at investor forums, Family Office summits, and exclusive networking events.
• Contribute to Arbour’s broader investor relations strategy and retention programme with senior leadership.
Experience
• 8–10 years in investor relations, private banking, wealth management, or alternative investment servicing. • Proven track record managing and retaining HNI, UHNI, and Family Office investor relationships with measurable retention and re-investment outcomes.
• Prior experience in a direct IR role within an AIF, PMS, private equity, real estate fund, or alternative investment platform strongly preferred.
• Deep familiarity with alternative investment products, structured credit, capital call / distribution processes, and AIF investor regulations in India.
• Established personal network within the HNI, UHNI, and Family Office investor community in Mumbai.
