Role Purpose
The Senior Manager – Training & Development is responsible for driving capability development initiatives aligned with our organizational and client needs. The role focuses on competency framework implementation, learning intervention design, structured training needs analysis (TNA), planning and execution of training calendars, and delivering high-quality learning solutions in collaboration with experts.
The position plays a key role in translating business priorities into structured learning interventions, while managing relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and external training partners. The role requires strong analytical capability, structured program management, and excellent communication skills to ensure impactful learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Competency Framework Implementation
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of competency frameworks across roles and functions.
- Support competency mapping to job roles and support competency-based development planning.
- Work with business leaders to identify capability gaps and development priorities.
- Integrate competency frameworks with learning pathways and development programs.
2. Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Conduct structured Training Needs Analysis using stakeholder consultations, competency gap assessments, and performance insights.
- Translate organizational and client capability requirements into actionable learning interventions.
- Develop prioritized learning plans aligned with business objectives.
3. Training Calendar Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage our annual training calendar covering technical, functional, safety, and leadership programs.
- Coordinate with business units to ensure training schedules align with operational requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end execution of training programs including program planning, trainer coordination, logistics, and participant management.
- Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and program objectives.
4. Client and Stakeholder Management
- Understand client needs and convert them into structured learning solutions and training programs.
- Build and manage relationships with training experts, consultants, and training agencies.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and training effectiveness through quality program delivery.
5. Learning Program Design & Content Development
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design customized learning programs aligned with organizational needs.
- Define learning objectives, instructional design frameworks, and training methodologies.
- Review and validate training materials, case studies, and learning tools.
- Ensure learning interventions are practical, relevant, and outcome-oriented.
6. Training Effectiveness and Learning Analytics
- Monitor training participation, completion rates, and feedback scores.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback analysis, assessments, and capability improvement indicators.

Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Management (HR preferred), Organizational Development, Psychology, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Project Management are desirable.
Experience
- 12–15 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, or Capability Building roles.
- Demonstrated experience in learning intervention design, competency frameworks, training needs analysis, and learning program delivery and management.
- Experience managing training partners, consultants, and client stakeholders.
- Experience in leading LXP implementation would be preferred
