Senior Manager – Tendering & Business Development (Infrastructure Projects)

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced professional to lead end-to-end tendering operations while actively contributing to business development and client relationship management in the infrastructure sector.
This role requires a strong understanding of government and private tenders, commercial acumen, and the ability to convert opportunities into successful project wins.
Key Responsibilities
Tendering & Bid Management
- Identify and track relevant tenders (Govt / PSU / Private sector)
- Manage complete tender lifecycle:
- Pre-bid analysis and qualification
- Documentation, costing, and submission
- Coordination with internal teams for technical inputs
- Prepare techno-commercial bids with high accuracy and competitiveness
- Attend pre-bid meetings and handle clarifications
Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities in infrastructure projects (roads, river works, slope protection, etc.)
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, and government departments
- Support in project acquisition and revenue growth
- Track upcoming projects and create early entry strategies
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key point of contact for clients during tendering and post-submission stages
- Negotiate commercial terms and follow up for bid closure
- Coordinate internally for execution handover after order finalization
Strategic & Commercial Role
- Analyze competitor pricing and market trends
- Develop bid strategies to improve win ratio
- Maintain tender database and performance tracking
Key Requirements
- B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in tendering + business development in infrastructure / construction sector
- Strong exposure to government tenders (GeM, CPPP, state portals, etc.)
- Excellent understanding of costing, BOQs, and contract terms
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to independently handle large-value bids
Preferred Background
- Experience in gabion, geotechnical, road, or civil infrastructure products
- Existing network with contractors / infra companies is a strong advantage
