Job Description for Tax Role
Qualification & Experience:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Direct Taxation.
The candidate should have hands-on experience in:
- Knowledge of income tax provisions related to Securitisation such as Section 115TCA, 194LBC, and 10(23DA).
- Independently handling scrutiny assessments and reassessment proceedings under sections 147, 143(2) etc.
- Independently drafting replies to notices received from the Income Tax Department, such as notices under Sections 148, 143(2), 133(6) and penalty notices.
- Attending Income Tax offices for resolving tax queries, submitting documents, and representing the organization during proceedings.
- Experience in appeal hearings before CIT(A). Exposure to ITAT level hearings will be an added advantage.
- Overseeing and resolving issues related to TDS compliance, including payment of TDS and filing of tax returns for non-individual assessees.
- Filing Income Tax Returns for Securitisation Trusts with the assistance of consultants.
- Involvement in / assistance with Tax Audits under Section 44AB for non-individual assessees.
- Preparing MIS reports related to ongoing income tax proceedings.
Minimum skills required:
- Strong fundamental knowledge of income tax assessment proceedings.
- Good command over MS Excel, including maintaining and improving master trackers and ensuring timely updates.
Additional / Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of securitisation transactions from Originator or Investor side will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with SAP, Tally ERP, or similar systems.
- Understanding of banking operations and RBI circulars will be an added advantage.
