Role Overview
We are looking for a result-driven Senior Manager – Ecommerce Sales to lead and scale our marketplace business across categories. This role will own end-to-end ecommerce performance, including sales growth, P&L management, inventory planning, marketplace visibility, and new product development for ecommerce channels.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing seller dashboards (Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, Shopify, etc.), a strong understanding of performance marketing and organic growth levers, and a proven ability to drive profitable revenue at scale.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Growth
- Drive revenue growth across categories including Groceries, Health & Wellness, Ayurveda, Personal Care, Juices & Beverages, Healthy Snacks, and Home Care.
- Own topline and ensure consistent month-on-month growth across ecommerce channels.
2. Marketplace Management
- Manage day-to-day operations across marketplaces and quick commerce channels.
- Optimize product listings, keywords, A+ content, and brand stores to improve discoverability and conversion rates.
- Ensure strong account health and compliance with marketplace guidelines.
3. Performance Marketing & Visibility
- Plan and execute marketplace ads (Amazon Ads, etc.) to improve rankings and visibility.
- Continuously optimize campaigns based on ROAS, conversion rates, and keyword performance.
- Drive organic growth through keyword optimization, reviews, ratings, and content improvements.
4. P&L Ownership
- Own and manage category-level P&L, ensuring profitability.
- Monitor and optimize commissions, logistics costs, ad spends, and other cost levers.
- Track payments, receivables, and reconciliations.
5. Inventory & Supply Planning
- Forecast demand and ensure high fill rates with minimal stock-outs.
- Coordinate closely with supply chain teams for timely replenishment.
- Manage inventory efficiently to reduce aging and improve working capital.
6. Promotions & Campaigns
- Work on Joint Business Plan for relevant channels along with stake holders.
- Plan and execute promotional calendars including deals, discounts, and platform-led campaigns.
- Leverage marketplace events and partnerships to drive incremental sales.
7. Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key marketplace POCs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, content, design, and supply chain teams for seamless execution.
8. Data & Insights
- Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Track competitor pricing, assortment, and promotions to refine strategy.
- Share regular performance reports and actionable insights with management.
9. New Product Development (Ecommerce-First)
- Identify opportunities to launch ecommerce-exclusive or channel-specific SKUs based on seasonality, festivals, and consumer trends.
- Work with internal teams to conceptualize, price, and launch new products suited for ecommerce platforms.
- Evaluate costing, margins, and platform fees to ensure profitability at SKU level.
- Continuously assess product performance and optimize assortment for growth and margins.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in ecommerce/marketplace management.
- Strong understanding of marketplace ads, SEO, and conversion optimization.
- Hands-on experience managing P&L and driving profitability.
- Experience in product selection, assortment planning, or new product launches for ecommerce is a strong plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
