Role Summary
The Senior Manager– Programs will be responsible for supporting and managing the end-to-end planning, execution, coordination, and implementation of programs across assigned locations. The role requires active involvement in program operations and implementations, proposal development, stakeholder engagement, field coordination, monitoring, documentation, and reporting to ensure effective and high-quality delivery of project objectives and organizational goals.
The incumbent will play a key role in managing project lifecycles from project initiation to closure while ensuring timely implementation, operational efficiency, compliance with organizational standards, and strong stakeholder relationships. The position demands excellent communication, program management, problem-solving, documentation, and team coordination skills, along with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Business Development & Proposals & Partnerships
Drive fundraising and revenue growth through CSR partnerships, foundations, and institutional donors by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities aligned with ISRN’s thematic areas. Manage the business development pipeline, onboard corporate partners, and lead the development of proposals, concept notes, and presentations tailored to donor priorities. Independently handle client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to build strong and sustainable partnerships.
2. Program Planning & Implementation
- Support end-to-end implementation of projects across assigned geographies.
- Coordinate project activities in line with approved work plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Assist in planning field operations, implementation schedules, and operational requirements.
- Ensure timely execution of project milestones and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify ops gaps, and proactively address implementation challenges.
- Support project closure processes, including reporting, documentation & compliance requirements.
3. Field Coordination & Operations
- Conduct regular field visits for monitoring, supervision, and quality assessment of project activities.
- Coordinate with field teams, vendors, implementation partners, schools, communities, or any local stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of activities..
- Facilitate coordination with local authorities and community representatives wherever required.
- Provide on-ground ops support and troubleshoot field-level implementation challenges.
4. Monitoring & Documentation
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting mechanisms for effective project tracking.
- Prepare project reports, presentations, impact notes, donor updates, data repositories, and implementation records.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including attendance records, activity reports, bills, inventories, beneficiary data, and field updates.
- Collect and manage geo-tagged photographs, short videos, field data, case studies, testimonials, and supporting communication documents.
- Ensure timely sharing of project updates and ops progress with reporting managers.
- Support preparation of concept notes, project proposals, donor presentations, and program reports.
5. Team Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless program implementation.
- Engage with donors, partners, government bodies, implementation agencies, schools, and community representatives to facilitate effective collaboration and communication.
- Support procurement coordination, resource allocation, material distribution, and overall logistical management for project activities.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and program outreach.
- Represent the organization during meetings, field visits, stakeholder consultations, donor interactions, and external engagements as required.
- Support the planning and execution of workshops, trainings, awareness campaigns, community events, and stakeholder consultations, including logistics, participant coordination, and on-ground management.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate in Social Work, Rural Development, Management, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in program implementation, project operations & management, or community-based development programs.
