Senior Manager – AI for Social Innovation

AI for Better Bharat is a national initiative anchored by CSRBOX to leverage Artificial Intelligence for inclusive development. The initiative focuses on deploying AI solutions that are ethical, scalable, and community-centered — ensuring technology serves public good, not just market efficiency.
Role Overview
The Senior Manager – AI for Better Bharat will lead the conceptualisation, strategy design, and execution roadmap of CSRBOX’s AI for social impact vertical.
The incumbent will work at the intersection of technology, public systems, CSR capital, and grassroots implementation, building a scalable architecture that identifies, pilots, and deploys AI-driven solutions across priority development sectors.
This is a leadership-track role requiring systems thinking, stakeholder management, and strong understanding of AI applications in real-world contexts.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Roadmap Development
● Develop a 3–5 year strategic roadmap for AI for Better Bharat.
● Identify high-impact AI use cases across healthcare, agriculture, climate resilience, inclusion, education, senior care, sustainability, and governance.
● Build scalable models aligned with CSR investments and public policy priorities.
● Establish responsible and ethical AI deployment frameworks for social sector use.
Identification & Deployment of AI Interventions
● Map emerging AI tools, startups, research labs, and enterprise solutions relevant to development challenges.
● Conduct feasibility assessments for deployment in rural and urban contexts.
● Lead pilot programs in partnership with government departments, academic institutions, CSR-funded projects, and technology companies.
● Design implementation frameworks ensuring data governance compliance, accessibility, and measurable social impact.
Academic & Innovation Ecosystem Engagement
● Work with universities, AICTE institutions, and technical campuses to create AI Innovation Labs for Social Good.
● Promote student-led innovation models addressing Bharat-centric challenges.
● Establish challenge grants, hackathons, and innovation cohorts.
● Build campus networks linking academia with CSR-funded field programs.
CSR & Corporate Partnerships
● Engage corporate CSR and ESG teams to mobilize funding for AI pilots.
● Design CSR-aligned AI programs delivering measurable SDG outcomes.
● Develop concept notes, proposals, and board-ready presentations.
● Anchor partnerships with technology companies and innovation networks.
Program Execution & Team Coordination
● Lead cross-functional teams within CSRBOX (domain experts, technology partners, field teams).
● Oversee pilot execution, monitoring, evaluation, and scaling.
● Establish dashboards and impact measurement frameworks.
● Ensure documentation, reporting, and knowledge dissemination.
Thought Leadership & Public Positioning
● Represent CSRBOX at AI, governance, and social innovation forums.
● Contribute to whitepapers, policy briefs, and frameworks on AI for Social Good.
● Support positioning of AI for Better Bharat as a national platform for inclusive AI deployment.
Eligibility & Experience
● Minimum 5–6 years of experience.
● Prior experience working with technology start-ups, AI-driven ventures, digital transformation programs, or the social innovation ecosystem.
● Strong conceptual understanding of AI/ML applications (coding expertise not mandatory).
● Experience in program design, stakeholder management, and ecosystem building.
● Exposure to public systems, CSR programs, innovation labs, or incubation environments is preferred.
● Engineering, Data Science, Public Policy, Management, or allied background preferred.
