ENERGDIVE is looking for a commercially driven professional to lead the development of
advertising partnerships with companies across the energy and infrastructure ecosystem.
The role focuses on building long-term relationships with corporate marketing and communication teams and helping them leverage ENERGDIVE’s media platforms to enhance their industry visibility and positioning.
A core part of this position involves
advertising sales across print and digital platforms, including developing customized brand visibility solutions and securing advertising partnerships with companies operating across the energy value chain.
This role requires strong industry networking, structured outreach, and the ability to convert relationships into long-term advertising partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive advertising revenue across ENERGDIVE’s print magazine, digital platform, and special editorial initiatives.
- Identify and engage prospective advertisers including companies across power generation, renewable energy, oil & gas, utilities, infrastructure, consulting, EPC, and industrial technology sectors.
- Build and maintain a structured pipeline of advertising opportunities through industry outreach, networking, and market intelligence.
- Present ENERGDIVE’s advertising solutions, special issues, supplements, branded content, and thought-leadership opportunities to potential advertisers.
- Develop customized media proposals and brand visibility programs aligned with client marketing objectives.
- Lead end-to-end advertising engagement including prospecting, pitching, negotiation, deal closure, and account management.
- Build long-term relationships with advertisers to drive repeat advertising, renewals, and expanded partnerships.
- Maintain accurate tracking of opportunities, leads, and accounts using CRM tools.
- Leverage LinkedIn outreach and professional networks to identify and connect with marketing leaders and business decision-makers.
- Represent ENERGDIVE at industry conferences, sector events, and client meetings.
- Work closely with editorial and marketing teams to align advertising collaborations with editorial themes and special issues.
- Monitor industry trends, advertising activity, and competitor media platforms to identify new revenue opportunities.
Requirements
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in advertising sales or media partnerships within B2B media platforms, trade publications, or industry-focused media brands.
- Experience selling print and digital advertising solutions to corporate clients.
- Exposure to sectors such as energy, infrastructure, power, renewables, utilities, engineering, or industrial technology will be strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to generate advertising revenue and build long-term client relationships.
- Skills & Attributes
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to convert industry relationships into advertising partnerships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Clear understanding of print and digital advertising formats and integrated media offerings.
- Ability to engage senior decision-makers including marketing heads, communication leaders, and business leaders.
- Experience using CRM tools such as Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach and B2B prospecting tools such as Sales Navigator.
- Highly organized with strong ownership and execution discipline.
- Comfortable with structured outreach, follow-ups, and long sales cycles.
- Willingness to travel across India for client meetings and industry events.
Education
Graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
