About the Role
This role owns the reliability and availability of plant equipment, utilities, and supporting systems at the site. The Senior Maintenance Engineer will use preventive maintenance discipline, fast fault diagnosis, and structured follow-up to keep operations running with minimal interruption. The role requires close coordination with production, quality, and safety teams so issues are resolved without creating downstream risk. The right candidate will manage breakdown response, track recurring failures, and turn those patterns into practical corrective actions. Success depends on strong ownership of maintenance outcomes, not just activity completion. Key Responsibilities
- Own the site maintenance plan so equipment uptime stays high and disruptions stay low. Use preventive schedules and disciplined follow-up to reduce breakdown frequency and protect production continuity.
- Respond to unplanned equipment failures with fast diagnosis and practical repair actions. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to restore operations safely and minimize loss of time.
- Track recurring defects, identify root causes, and drive corrective action through to closure. Convert repeat issues into longer-term reliability improvements rather than temporary fixes.
- Maintain critical utilities and plant support systems so they remain stable and compliant. Monitor performance closely to prevent hidden failures from affecting output or safety.
- Partner with production, quality, and safety teams to align maintenance priorities with operational needs. Use clear communication to avoid delays and reduce cross-functional friction.
- Manage spare parts planning and maintenance records so essential resources are available when needed. Keep documentation accurate to support faster troubleshooting and better decision-making.
- Support equipment installation, modifications, and improvement projects when changes are needed. Ensure new work is handed over cleanly and does not create avoidable downtime later.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices, with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and choose the right corrective path. This should translate into better uptime and fewer repeat failures.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance systems, including planning, execution, and review. The candidate should know how to turn routine maintenance into measurable reliability gains.
