Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Executive / Assistant Manager to manage end-to-end domestic and international transportation of biological shipments including blood, tissue, stool, plasma, serum, and other diagnostic samples. The candidate should have strong knowledge of healthcare logistics, cold chain management, international import-export procedures, customs clearance, and documentation handling for biological sample movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage pickup, packaging, transportation, and delivery of biological samples across domestic and international locations
- Handle international import and export shipments for healthcare, diagnostics, and laboratory samples
- Coordinate with airlines, airport authorities, customs agents, courier partners, and vendors for smooth shipment movement
- Prepare and verify all shipment documentation including invoices, airway bills, customs documents, permits, declarations, and temperature compliance records
- Ensure compliance with IATA guidelines, cold chain protocols, and healthcare transportation standards
- Manage airport customs clearance processes for inbound and outbound biological shipments
- Coordinate with hospitals, laboratories, diagnostic centers, and international clients for shipment planning and execution
- Monitor shipment status and resolve operational issues, delays, or clearance challenges
- Maintain proper records and operational reports for all shipments
- Ensure proper packaging as per biological sample handling standards and temperature requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare logistics, biological sample transportation, or cold chain logistics
- Strong knowledge of international import-export operations and customs clearance procedures
- Experience handling biological shipments such as blood, tissue, stool, plasma, serum, and diagnostic samples
- Knowledge of IATA regulations and temperature-controlled logistics
- Experience coordinating with airport customs and freight forwarding teams
- Good communication and vendor management skills
- Ability to manage operations independently from pickup till final delivery
- Proficiency in shipment documentation and compliance processes
