Job description:
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
I. Loan Processing and Document Management
- Document Management: Collect, verify, and organize necessary client documents like payslips, bank statements, and identification. Prepare files and follow up on missing information.
- Application Lodgement: Accurately prepare and lodge loan applications to the lender for residential loans using industry platforms (e.g., ApplyOnline).
- Scenario and Deal Structuring: Work with brokers to develop and present loan scenarios for clients
- Pre-Approval Tasks: Order upfront valuations, property reports, and credit reports.
- Compliance Documents: Assist with conducting serviceability/affordability calculations. Prepare various documents such as LCD, PCAR and Forms in compliance with Lender's regulation.
II. Policy, Liaison, and Subject Matter Expertise (SME)
- External Liaison: Communicate professionally with lenders, solicitors, valuers, and real estate agents to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure timely settlement.
- Loan Tracking: Follow up with lenders at each stage to ensure the loan is moving smoothly. Manage the complete process from Unconditional Approval to Settlement.
- Broker Support: Provide real-time lending support to the broker network via email, telephone, and internal forums.
- SME Advice (Senior Role Focus): Offer Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to guide brokers to lending policies and structure complex deals.
- Policy Interpretation: Interpret, clarify, and implement changes to scenarios as directed by the broker.
III. Client Management and Compliance
- Client Communication: Handle client inquiries and provide information about their loan application status. Notify customers of the settlement confirmation.
- CRM and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized client records in a CRM system.
- Compliance: Assist with compliance checks and prepare loan documents for client signing. Always perform duties in line with the client's policy and procedures, service standards, and code of practice.
- Post-Settlement Service: Provide post-settlement service, including processing discharges, handling top-up loans/variations/increases, and resolving banking issues.
IV Prohibited Activities
- This role is not authorised as a credit representative; therefore, the provision of credit assistance is not permissible by employees in this role
- Performing end to end analysis of a client situation or lender solution, this can only be done under instruction from broker (and no solution can communicate to clients by the Senior Loan Admin, this information needs to come from the Broker).
Non-negotiable skills and requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential lending.
- More than 3 years of relevant finance industry experience.
- At least 1 year of administrative support experience in the AU mortgage industry, including credit management.
- 6 months or more working for a US/UK/Australian finance company.
- Communication: Strong (Excellent) written, verbal, and comprehension English and Hindi communication skills, especially via telephone and email.
