🚀 What You’ll Be Doing:
🔹 Linux Platform Engineering & Operations:
Act as L2/L3 escalation for Linux issues across production and non-production environments.
Design, build, and manage secure, highly available Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu).
🔹 Performance, Patching & RCA:
Handle OS/kernel patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
Perform performance tuning and root cause analysis for critical issues.
🔹 Storage, Networking & Security:
Manage filesystems and storage (LVM, NFS/CIFS, ext4, XFS).
Troubleshoot networking issues and manage firewalls.
Implement OS hardening, SELinux, sudo, and LDAP/AD integration.
🔹 Automation & Platforms:
Automate tasks using Shell/Bash, Ansible (Python preferred).
Support VMware, cloud platforms, and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes – good to have)..
🔹 Operations & Collaboration:
Monitor systems, tune alerts, ensure security compliance.
Maintain documentation, mentor junior engineers, and participate in on-call support.
🧠Requirements:
4–7 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration or platform engineering.
Expert-level knowledge of Red Hat, CentOS, Oracle Linux, and Ubuntu.
Strong understanding of Linux internals, boot process, systemd, and kernel tuning.
Proficiency in storage, networking, security, and automation technologies.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and RCA skills.
Ability to manage complex environments and meet operational SLAs.
