Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating on a broad range of complex global and domestic commercial contracts/transactions across a range of business including digital/IT contracts, financing and leasing agreements, loan documentation, procurement contracts etc.
- Provide strategic legal counsel to senior leadership and business units on transactional matters, risk assessment, and commercial decision-making.
- Manage and coordinate complex transactions from inception to closing, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders across departments, including procurement, finance, operations, and commercial teams.
- Support business on new business initiatives keeping in view the legal and regulatory requirements and business needs.
- Occasionally work with external lawyers for procuring opinions and/or for obtaining advice on transactions
- Good understanding of legal and regulatory landscape and continuous upkeep with changes in law which are relevant to the organization.
Qualification
- Law degree (LL.B. / LL.M.) from a reputed university
- 10–12 years of post-qualification experience in transactional law, with significant experience at a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts across multiple transaction types.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand commercial objectives and translate them into practical legal solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal audiences.
