India delivery center is one of our global delivery and capability hub. We bring together experts in AI, engineering, analysis, quality, and architecture to deliver product & process solutions, application run services, change and transformation initiatives, and centralized platform services across both on prem and Guidewire Cloud environments. Our teams operate from multiple global delivery centers, supporting Zurich’s business units worldwide.
Application Subject Matter Specialist (RPA Engineer)
Key Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA solutions in line with established standards and best practices.
- Work with business stakeholders to analyze processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Translate business and functional requirements into robust automation designs.
- Maintain and enhance existing RPA bots to ensure stability, performance, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bot failures, exceptions, and performance issues.
- Ensure automations comply with security, risk, audit, and compliance requirements.
- Support production environments, including monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and solution designs.
- Contribute to RPA governance, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Security, Risk, and Operations.
Functional / Technical Skills Required:
- Hands-on experience with RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Automate).
- Strong understanding of automation concepts, frameworks, and bot lifecycle management.
- Experience with process analysis and documentation (e.g., process maps, PDDs, SDDs).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, VB.NET, C#, or JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of APIs, web services, and system integrations.
- Experience automating across enterprise systems (e.g., web applications, SAP, mainframes, databases).
- Understanding of exception handling, logging, and error recovery in RPA solutions.
- Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–5+ years of experience in RPA development, automation engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale RPA solutions.
- RPA platform certifications preferred (e.g., UiPath Certified Professional, Automation Anywhere Certified Developer, Microsoft Power Automate certifications).
- Experience working in regulated or large enterprise environments is a plus.
- Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or DevOps delivery models preferred.
