Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Senior & Lead IP/SOC Design Verification Engineer. The role involves planning, developing, and executing functional and formal verification strategies for complex IP and SOC designs, including testbench architecture, test plan creation, and coverage analysis. The engineer will collaborate closely with RTL designers and architecture teams to understand specifications, identify corner cases, and ensure robust verification closure. Daily responsibilities include debugging simulation failures, analyzing waveform and log data, refining verification environments, and mentoring junior team members. The role also includes contributing to verification methodology improvements, documenting processes, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet project quality and schedule goals.
Qualifications
- Strong IP/SOC verification skills, including Functional Verification and Debugging, with experience in complex semiconductor designs.
- Solid design background with hands-on exposure to RTL Design and an understanding of Computer Architecture concepts.
- Experience with Formal Verification methodologies and tools, and ability to integrate formal techniques into overall verification strategy.
- Proficiency with industry-standard verification languages and environments (e.g., SystemVerilog, UVM, simulation tools, and scripting languages such as Python or Perl).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead verification role, including test plan ownership, schedule management, and mentoring of verification teams.
- Effective communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
- Exposure to domains such as GPUs, CPUs, wireless, communications, or consumer electronics is an advantage.
