Senior / Lead Full Stack Engineer (Player-Coach)

About FlairX
FlairX is building the future of hiring through AI. We are developing a real-time AI Interviewer Avatar that conducts technical, product, and behavioral interviews — with live video interaction, voice cloning, facial expressions, and intelligent evaluation.
We are now looking for a Senior / Lead Engineer (Player-Coach) to help architect, build, and scale this platform for thousands of users globally.
This is not a maintenance role. This is a build-from-core, high-ownership role.
What You Will Do
- Architect and build scalable frontend and backend systems (React + Node.js)
- Design systems that support real-time video + AI-driven interactions
- Lead development of AI-powered interview workflows and evaluation logic
- Build for scale — performance, reliability, multi-tenant architecture
- Own code quality, review processes, and engineering standards
- Act as a player-coach — hands-on coding while mentoring 1–3 engineers
- Collaborate closely with Founder and Product to shape technical roadmap
- Help define infra strategy (cloud, APIs, streaming, data pipelines)
- Ensure security, compliance, and reliability for enterprise customers
Must-Have Skills
- 6–10+ years of full-stack engineering experience
- Strong expertise in:
- React.js (production-level applications)
- Node.js (API design, scalable backend architecture)
- Experience building and scaling platforms used by thousands of users
- Experience with system design and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models (OpenAI, LLMs, embeddings, etc.)
- Experience building real-time systems (WebRTC, streaming, sockets, etc. is a plus)
- Strong understanding of databases (Postgres, NoSQL, etc.)
- Cloud experience (AWS / GCP / Azure)
Strong Plus
- Experience building AI-native products
- Experience with voice AI, video avatars, or real-time media systems
- Startup experience (0 → 1 or 1 → 10 scale)
- Experience building developer workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience leading small engineering teams
