Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Lead Designer role based in Mumbai. The Senior Lead Designer will oversee the end-to-end design lifecycle, from client briefing and concept development to detailed design, execution, and final handover. The role includes leading and mentoring a design team, reviewing layouts and 3D visuals, and ensuring that design solutions align with client expectations, budgets, and timelines. The designer will collaborate closely with project managers, procurement teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure design intent is realized on-site with high quality standards. Day-to-day work will involve client presentations, design revisions, material and finishes selection, site visits, quality checks, and coordination to resolve design or execution issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Strong interior design expertise, including space planning, concept development, and detailed drawings.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or similar).
- Experience leading design teams, mentoring junior designers, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships, conduct effective presentations, and incorporate feedback into design solutions.
- Experience coordinating with project management, procurement, and on-site execution teams to ensure design quality and feasibility.
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, fixtures, and current interior design trends and best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a focus on delivering within timelines and budgets.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Prior experience in residential interiors; exposure to premium or luxury projects is an advantage.
