Are you passionate about building modern, scalable data platforms on the cloud? We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team and lead enterprise-scale data transformation initiatives on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize cloud-native data solutions, enabling business insights through robust data pipelines, modern data warehouses, and real-time analytics platforms.
What You'll Do
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions on GCP.
- Develop and maintain enterprise data warehouses and data lakes.
- Lead migration and modernization of legacy data platforms to GCP.
- Build batch and real-time data processing solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical solutions.
- Ensure high performance, reliability, scalability, and security of data platforms.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize data workflows.
- Mentor team members and contribute to best engineering practices.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of Data Engineering experience
- 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience
- Strong expertise in:
- BigQuery
- Dataflow
- Pub/Sub
- Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Cloud Scheduler
- Cloud Logging & Monitoring
- Advanced SQL and Python programming
- Data Warehousing & Data Lake Architecture
- ETL/ELT Development and Optimization
- Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- GitHub / CI-CD Practices
- Performance Tuning and Data Pipeline Optimization
- Experience integrating data from Oracle, Teradata, DB2, PostgreSQL, and flat files
Preferred Qualifications
- IBM DataStage experience
- Mainframe-to-GCP migration projects
- GCP Professional Data Engineer Certification
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms
