Role Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Lead – Business Analyst (Analytics & Automation) to lead end‑to‑end requirement management, sprint execution, and Agile delivery for Analytics and Automation initiatives. This role is responsible for intake management, requirement gathering, user story creation, sprint planning, process governance, retrospective facilitation, and continuous improvement of delivery processes.
Although this position does not involve direct people management, it requires strong ownership, structured delivery leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to run Scrum ceremonies and drive predictable project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the requirement intake and analysis process for all Analytics & Automation initiatives.
- Conduct detailed requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders and convert them into clear, actionable user stories.
- Manage and refine product backlogs, ensuring user stories are well defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
- Anchor Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Manage the complete sprint cycle—capacity planning, dependency tracking, and delivery governance.
- Review and govern the JIRA intake workflow, ensuring quality, completeness, and adherence to standards.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (Analytics, Automation, Data Engineering, Product Owners) to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery.
- Track and communicate sprint progress, risks, impediments, and stakeholder expectations on a regular cadence.
- Drive process improvements across intake management, sprint execution, documentation, and Agile delivery practices.
- Facilitate retrospective insights and continuously implement improvements in collaboration with the delivery team.
- Ensure documentation quality across user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint reports, and requirement specifications.
- Support project planning, effort estimation, and delivery forecasting for Analytics & Automation pipelines.
- Act as the central point of coordination for stakeholder alignment, ensuring clarity of scope, timelines, and expectations.
Required Skills:
- 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Analytics, Automation, or Technology delivery environments.
- Strong experience gathering requirements for BI, Analytics, RPA, or Automation projects.
- Proven expertise in writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Hands‑on experience managing Agile delivery through Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of JIRA workflows, intake processes, backlog management, and sprint governance.
- Ability to run Scrum ceremonies independently—stand‑ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, structured problem solving, documentation discipline, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, handle ambiguity, and drive clarity across stakeholders.
- Experience working with cross‑functional Analytics or Automation delivery teams, including Technical Leads, Developers, and Data professionals.
- Strong process orientation with a mindset for continuous improvement.
Good to Have:
- Experience working with Power BI, SQL, RPA tools, or automation frameworks.
- Exposure to Data Analytics projects involving dashboards, reporting layers, or data workflows.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, or other Agile project management tools.
- Knowledge of data lifecycle, analytics concepts, or automation pipelines.
