At Xapton, we are looking for a skilled Ontologist to join our growing eServices and AI-driven data initiatives. This role will contribute to a wide range of semantic projects focused on enabling intelligent data ecosystems, improving interoperability, and driving personalized digital experiences at scale.
The outcomes of these semantically driven initiatives include:
- Establishing consistency and standards across siloed systems
- Enabling seamless data and content integration
- Driving advanced analytics and discoverability

Key Responsibilities- Design and develop semantic ontologies to model complex business domains
- Implement RDF-based ontological structures for enterprise-scale systems
- Align ontology frameworks with business requirements and strategic outcomes
- Enable semantic data integration and metadata-driven architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across technology and business teams
Essential Requirements- 5+ years of experience in semantic technologies and ontology development (RDF-based) within complex organizations
- Proven ability to design intuitive, scalable ontologies in highly complex environments
- Strong understanding of W3C standards including SPARQL and OWL
- Ability to translate technical insights into business-aligned solutions
- Solid knowledge of content management, data structures, and semantic metadata extraction

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Excellent stakeholder management in multi-layered environments
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English
- Availability to overlap with US time zones (minimum 4 hours/day)
Education- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Library Science, or related fields
- Additional specialization in Information Management, Library Automation, or similar domains preferred
