Job Description – Senior Java OCP Developer (OpenShift, Spring Boot & Microservices)
Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad

Role: Senior Engineer / Senior Java Developer
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in
Java OCP, OpenShift (OCP), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. The
ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and managing
cloud native applications on OpenShift, ensuring high availability, scalability, and
performance.
Note: A good understanding of AI concepts is mandatory across all roles.
Location: Bengaluru and Hyderabad (mandatory).
Key Responsibilities:
Java & Spring Boot
Develop and maintain backend services using Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot.
Build scalable, high performance RESTful APIs.
Implement Spring modules: Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, etc.
Optimize service performance and ensure secure coding practices.
Microservices Architecture:
Design and implement distributed microservices with strong understanding of
patterns like:
o Service discovery
o Circuit breaker
o API gateway
o Centralized configuration
Integrate services using messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ preferred).
OpenShift (OCP) / Containerization:
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications on Red Hat OpenShift (OCP).
Develop containerized applications using Docker and manage deployments via:
o Build Configs
o Deployment Configs
o Routes & Services
Implement CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions
integrated with OpenShift.
Cloud & DevOps:
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
Work with logs, metrics, monitoring, tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Jaeger).
Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery cycles.
Mandatory Skills:
6+ years of experience in Java development.
Strong expertise in Java OCP platform deployment/performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with OpenShift (OCP) for containerized application
deployment.
Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and backend architecture.
Solid understanding of Microservices patterns and best practices.
Experience with Docker, Linux, Git, CI/CD processes.
Exposure to API security: OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS.
Good understanding of AI concepts (mandatory).
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Good to Have:
Red Hat certifications (OCP/OCP Dev/OCP Admin).
Experience with service mesh (Istio/Linkerd).
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Elastic Search).
Knowledge of Kubernetes beyond OpenShift.
Experience with Helm charts, Operators, or OpenShift Pipelines.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
