About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our client's Data Security Engineering team. You will be responsible for designing and building secure, scalable, and high-performance data security solutions that protect enterprise data across hybrid cloud environments.
This role requires strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Cloud Technologies, Container Platforms, API Integration, and Observability tools while working with modern distributed systems and large-scale enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade data security solutions.
Build and implement governance and security policies across organizational data platforms.
Develop secure and scalable backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot.
Integrate security frameworks with distributed data processing platforms such as Spark, Kafka, Presto, and Elasticsearch.
Design secure architectures for enterprise data storage, processing, and API communication.
Build robust Data and API integration solutions across enterprise applications.
Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms including AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Develop containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using ELK Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps engineers, platform teams, and security engineers to deliver reliable and secure solutions.
Optimize application performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and system reliability.
Follow secure coding practices, code reviews, CI/CD standards, and enterprise software engineering best practices.
Required Skills
6–10 years of professional experience in Java Backend Development, Software Engineering, or Data Security Engineering.
Strong expertise in Core Java.
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
Strong experience in Data Integration and API Integration.
Experience working with AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Hands-on expertise in Docker.
Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
Strong knowledge of Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant distributed applications.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of Networking fundamentals.
Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Experience with NoSQL databases.
Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
Knowledge of Data Encryption, Data Masking, and Data Anonymization.
Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks and access management solutions.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
Passion for building secure, scalable, and cloud-native enterprise applications.
