This Will Help You Grow
- Designing, developing and documenting Java software applications used in the industrial environment.
- Integration into our existing PAC Scrum team to develop, extend and implement customer-specific solutions.
- Perform software and integration testing and support the rollout of solutions at customer sites until go-live (typically remote)
- Continuously improve ourselves by actively contributing ideas to ongoing projects and processes
- Ensure that applications are supported and maintained, even while in production.
- Collaboration in projects with other IT departments and integration of stakeholders
This Is How You Will Help Us Move Forward
- Completed university studies (master's degree, diploma, bachelor's degree) in technical computer science / general computer science, automation/engineering or comparable qualifications and experience
- Programming knowledge in Java/ Groovy and experience in using frameworks and tools such as Spring, Maven, JUnit and EasyMock
- Strong backend / integration focus
- No JavaScript or frontend skills required
- Experience in modern IT delivery processes (especially DevOps) and as well as in continuous delivery, automated testing and Scrum
- Preferably experience with the integration of interfaces such as OPC-UA, Siemens S7, REST/SOAP web services, TCP IP, etc.
- Experience and interest in event streaming, monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting (Kafka, Splunk, etc.)
- Reliability, accountability, strong ability to communicate and passion for learning
- Experience in automation and/or MES environments
- Hands-on experience with message bus technologies:
- Experience with industrial communication protocols:
- OPC UA
- REST
- Plain TCP / socket communication
- Experience integrating hardware devices such as printers, scanners, or other production equipment
