Role Description
Industry: Commercial Interior Design & Build | Workplace Strategy | Fit-Outs
Location: Gurugram / Bangalore
Experience: 8–15 years (Commercial Interiors mandatory)
We are looking for a Concept-Driven Design Leader who will:
• Lead pre-sales & concept development
• Own client experience during pitch stage
• Translate business briefs into compelling spatial narratives
• Drive design direction across workplace, coworking & institutional projects
• Elevate AirBrick’s design identity
This role focuses heavily on:
✔ Concept ideation
✔ Spatial storytelling
✔ Client presentations
✔ Experience design
✔ Workplace strategy
Not drafting production
Core Responsibilities
1. Concept Leadership
• Lead concept development for:
• Corporate offices
• Coworking & managed workspaces
• University & institutional environments
• Convert client brief into:
• Zoning strategy
• Mood boards
• Material narratives
• Design themes
• Build strong design philosophy per project
2. Client Experience & Presentation Excellence
• Lead client workshops & briefing sessions
• Present concepts confidently to:
• Founders
• CXOs
• Real estate heads
• Facility heads
• Create high-impact presentations (PPT / 3D walkthrough narratives)
• Handle objections and align design with business goals
3. Workplace Strategy & Functionality
• Develop space programs aligned with:
• Headcount growth
• Collaboration patterns
• Hybrid work models
• Integrate:
• Productivity psychology
• Brand storytelling
• User flow logic
• Ensure design enhances functionality, not just aesthetics
4. Design Quality Control
• Guide Design Leads & ID teams during design evolution
• Ensure concept integrity is maintained through:
• Schematic stage
• Technical transition
• Collaborate closely with Technical / Post-Sales teams
5. AI & Tech-Driven Design Integration
• Leverage AI tools for:
• Rapid mood board generation
• Layout options
• Concept visualisations
• Help build AirBrick’s internal design playbook & material libraries
• Contribute to scalable design systems
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience
• 8–15 years in Commercial Interior Design
• Strong portfolio in:
• Office interiors (IT / Enterprise / Startup)
• Coworking
• Institutional spaces (preferred)
• Excellent presentation & storytelling ability
• Ability to handle CXO-level conversations
• Strong conceptual clarity (not Pinterest-based design)
Skills Required
• Space planning & zoning strategy
• Design storytelling & thematic development
• Client psychology understanding
• High-level material understanding
• Strong communication & articulation
• Team leadership
Good to Have
• Experience in D&B environment (not only consultancy)
• Exposure to high-speed execution environments
• Understanding of costing implications at concept stage
• Experience presenting to enterprise clients
